FISHING REPORT
7/23/13 10:39 PM CST
Conditions: Partly Sunny Air Temp: 86° - 90° F Water Temp: Above 80° F
I fished this past Saturday and Sunday (7-20,21) We fished for about 5 hours each day and boated over 40 bass. In the summer you have to fish deeper and FAST to get the bass to strike. All bass were caught at deep bars (15 to 20), where the feeder creeks met the main channel. Below link for a video on some of the bass we caught on YouTube:

Can anyone tell me the water level of the lake? Are they spilling over the dam, or at normal pool?

Also, how's the crappie and Bass fishing been? Any updates would be appreciated.

The plant only shuts one unit down at a time for maintenance. This starts towards the end of march until usually the first of may, and the first of oct through mid november. Only for some kind of major deal do they ever have both units down at the same time. Anyways 6 weeks in spring and usually 6 weeks in fall is scheduled down maintenance.

Had an opportunity to fish LOE 6/26 for a few hours. Crappies were very tough to find due to the ~4.0" of rain the night before. Found a few LMB up in some of the fingers wherever fresh water was running into the lake, but were all the way back into the coves, as far as they could go.

All fish caught were released to fight again. Smile

The water tempo has reachedthe mid 80's and the fish are DEEP. We are catching fish between 12-20 feet of water. We have started our night bass guide trips for the summer and the fishing is pretty good right now. We had n10 keepers on our 6 hour trip and one over 5 lbs with most keepers in the 3 lb range. There are lots andlots of 13/14 inch fish right now. We caught a total of 50 fish with only 10 keepers. We used a 10 in black net bait worm and a black 1/2 ounce booyah spinnerbait. Happy Fishing

Im sorry but have not been personally. I have been on Rend crappie fishing. I can pass on info that the fish are shallow with plastics right now but it is hard to find the big fish. The water is pretty high but not what youll find at Rend or the Ohio River. Sorry could not help more.
