Subscription FAQ's

One of the benefits of being a Member of Lake-Link is that you have the ability to subscribe to reports and threads you have a particular interest in.

Why should I subscribe to a Report Thread or Message Board Thread?
Is there aaMessage Board topic or Fishing Report thread you want to be kept up to date on? Would you like Lake-Link to notify you with a short email notification when new content is added? Then subscribe to that report or thread!

How do I subscribe?
When you find a thread that you are interested in and wish to subscribe to simply click on the "Subscribe" button located of the page of the report or thread you wish to subscibe to.

What happens when I subscribe?
When you subscribe to a fishing report or other message board thread, whenever someone submits a report or response to that thread, Lake-Link will send you a very short email notifying you. You then just click on the link in the email and you will be taken directly to that post!

How long does the subscription last?
Your subscription will last as long as the thread remains active or when you unsubscribe to the thread.

Can I Un-Subscribe from a report I am currently Subscribed to?
Yes! If you are subscribed to a thread, you can unsubscribe by clicking "Unsubscribe" button on that thread page or you and unsubscribe by going to your "Your Report/Message Board Subscriptions" section under your account management section.

Wasn't the Subscription Service available to free Registered User accounts in the past?
Yes. However, with the thousands and thousands of subscripton emails going out every single day and with a fair number of them being bounced back due to outdated or changed email addresses, it was consuming considerable resouces on our mail server. In order to keep a high quality of service to all our email clients we were required to limit the Subscription Service to Member Accounts.
